Slipknot has finally dropped new music, just like they promised. The band has released a new single, “The Chapeltown Rag.”

It feels like just yesterday Slipknot released their album “We Are Not Your Kind,” but it’s actually been over two years. Fans have been itching for new music, and now the band has delivered, giving the new song its live debut in Los Angeles on Friday night during their livestreamed Knotfest performances.

Frontman Corey Taylor calls the song “classic Slipknot,” saying it’s about how the media and social media “manipulates” people. It’s also inspired by the Netflix documentary “the Ripper,” about a serial killer in the United Kindom suburb of Chapeltown.
